I know that some people think video rental is old fashioned now days with Netflix and whatnot, but this shop is really quite good. The guys there really stepped it up from the old Network store. I asked the guy behind the counter where a movie was that I thought they probably wouldn't have, but he went straight to the section, and picked it out of probably 10k dvds....didn't even look it up on the computer. Really hope these guys stay around, they really have the hang of renting out dvds.
My family have been going to this store for many years. The new owner has really improved the look of the store over the past few months. And the staff are very helpful if you don't know what you are looking for (or if you just can't find it like me). I especially like the Sunday deal of 2 new releases for just $8. We will definitely keep going there.
Really friendly and approachable staff, lots of variety in movies and I'm really pleased with how quickly they get new release movies in to rent. The prices are fair on the rentals (and on the sweets!). I definitely suggest Main Street Video if you're in the Medowie area and want a nice night in with a movie or two.5 stars out of 5.
Best modern video store I've ever hired from! They have a massive selection of new releases and of course the all-time classics! I have never been into a video store where the staff had such an extensive knowledge of film! I walked in not quite knowing what film I wanted to rent, so I asked the manager to recommend a film for me, and they talked me through a large selection until we found exactly the type of film I was looking for. (It was Goodfellas, terrific choice!) I've been to many video stores that have a passive and laissez faire attitude towards movies and customers, this is not that kind of store. The staff at Main Street Video are real movie buffs! I was deeply satisfied with the service that Main Street Video offered! 10/10!
6 month tops and this store will not be operating ....ive been hiring dvd's from this store for over 20 years ...since the new owner has taken over last 9 months ...the service has gone down hill....they dont offer any deals on hiring dvd's ..they wont honor the shopper dockets you get from woolies/coles etc ...they wont let me use me mother card to hire movies ...i spend $30-$40 a week hiring latest release dvd's...that's $120-$160 a month ....i think these people are trying to be god ......they dont like me using my mums card to hire the dvd's .....as i live in the same house same phone number same address ....why do they want all my details when 1 card should be plenty for a residential house...good luck to your failing business ...i have owned quiet a few different public relation business and i have never treated a repeat customer this way....hope you guys own the building because rent is to dear to turn away 20 year relations ship with a good client
